GPT-5 released – what are its features
- Overview: GPT-5 is a unified, multimodal AI released on August 7, 2025.
- Routing: The model smart-routes between a fast default model and a deeper reasoning model.
- Reasoning: It hits state-of-the-art on AIME 2025 (94.6%) and GPQA (pro 88.4%).
- Coding: It excels at end-to-end app builds, including “vibe coding.”
- Writing: Additionally, the SOTA model produces more human-like rhythm and literary depth.
- Reliability: GPT-5 also reduces hallucinations versus GPT -4 and OpenAI GPT-3 with search/reasoning.
- Integrations: In addition to the magnetic capabilities, it also integrates with Gmail and Google Calendar for agile tasks.
- Availability: GPT 5 is available to all ChatGPT users, with higher limits for paid tiers.
- Voice mode gets near-unlimited use for Plus users and hours of daily access for free users.
GPT-5 usage limits
The following GPT-5 limits:
- The free version gives 10 GPT-5 messages every five hours. Concurrently, a mini model. Moreover, you are given 1 GPT-5 Thinking message per day
- The ChatGPT Plus version shows 80 GPT-5 messages every 3 hours. Then the mini model. The thinking limit is up to 200 per week. Additionally, auto-switch from GPT-5 to Thinking does not count toward the weekly limit and still works after it’s reached.
- ChatGPT Team/Pro has unlimited access to GPT-5 models.
